Holly again.
With her never-ending torso and platinum blonde hair, Holly was the perfect model (again) for this 1930s Hollywood glam satin halter top.
Still available... $48.

Bowling Shirt Bonanza
I hit the bowling shirt jackpot at a yard sale a couple weeks ago.
It was one of those "pinch-me-I-must-be-dreaming" moments, spread out on this woman's lawn at 8:30 in the morning, pawing through a pile of soft yummy gabardine....
They were not cheap, however. The seller knew their value, and I emptied my wallet buying ten of them. (Strike!)
Holly was nice enough to model these for me, and then promptly emptied her wallet to purchase two of them. (I let her buy the one I was planning to keep for myself!) I'm still ironing and mending many of them, but you can come see what's left on Thursday when I'm open again.

Wiggle Room
Oh... Check out this cute little wiggle dress I picked up on Monday.
It has a matching double-breasted bolero.
I have spent the last 5 days trying every imaginable magic potion in Ye Olde Workshoppe to get an odd stain off the left ass cheek. The repeated treatments (of paint stripper!) are working and it should be in the window by next week.

More Great Stuff you may Have Missed.
May '08 was my best month ever, yay! Here's just a teeny sampling of the stuff flying out the doors at Five and DIamond Vintage...
Tails for the Hawthorne Valley graduate:
50's Parisian novelty print circle Skirt:
Chiffon print lounging overdress ca 1940. It lasted only 2 days:
This customer couldn't decide between this dress
..and this dress:
...So she bought both.
I thought I priced these suede disco platforms high enough that they'd hang around for awhile:
Nope. They lasted exactly 2 hours.
Disco girl also bought the crazy owl skirt (Do not attempt to adjust your monitor--)
and this 1930s Housedress, which complimented her tattoos beautifully.
This next dress is one of my favorite all-time dresses; I only owned it a few days, and sadly it didn't fit me :( --but it was still hard to let go. It looks fabulous on Martina!
Finally, in case you're grumpy that I only post pictures of stuff that's already sold, here's an amazing dress that Martina modeled for me but did not buy.
Sequins. Chartreuse. Heaven.
